Overview

The goal of the servingo project is to support the efficient and innovative execution of the FIFA World Cup 2006 and to create an IT-supported service platform that enables the provision of an integrated information & logistics support (structure) for the most varied target groups within the context of large sporting events. The services or content will be playable over various, innovate channels: from the Internet to radio (GSM, GPRS, UMTS) to broadband DVB playout. This platform integrates mobile aspects, taking relevant approaches, such as Location Based Services, into account, while going beyond the exclusive support of mobile system components and the corresponding push/pull services, and integrating the stationary access to preparation or viewing of the personal "diary" or a personal dayplanner.
